APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
An Apology for Absence was received from Mrs L Holmans (illness),
Mr H Clark (prior engagement), Borough Councillor A Hicks, Borough Councillor Davison and County Councillor Angell

DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Mr Buss Mr Howe and Mr Pilton declared a personal interest in matters pertaining to
Shadoxhurst Recreation Committee.

Updating of Declarations of Interest for the
Code of Conduct
Councillors are reminded that they should update their Declarations of Interest with
the Monitoring Officer if necessary.
3. PUBLIC INTERVAL
The
Member of the Public present gave a presentation on
new Environmental Initiative. Councillors unanimously agreed that Mr
Hollands
should meet with other interested parties to
learn more. The Project Manager,

ACCEPTANCE
OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
Minutes 316 of the previous meeting were accepted and it was unanimously agreed
that Mr Hollands should sign them.

REPORT
Mr
Hollands pointed out that there is a name in the Parish Magazine for the
Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator. The Clerk will contact the editor and ask
for it
to be removed.

Resolution: Councillors unanimously agreed to pay the
above accounts.
It
was agreed to write the cheque for Ashford Electrical Services, but the Clerk
will not
send
it until the heaters have been replaced.

E Mail Correspondence
It was unanimously agreed that all email
correspondence should continue to be forwarded
to all councillors with email.
Mr Buss will liaise with the Clerk regarding
anything that need attention during
the
month and will take responsibility for bringing any items of interest to the meeting
for the attention of all councillors.
Insurance
Nothing to report.
Newsletter
The Editor wishes to retire and the position
has been advertised in the latest edition.
Website
Mr Brady is to attend the next meeting of the
Parish Council to discuss the website.
Crime
and Disorder
The hut in the Scouts field was set alight
during the month. It was lucky that the
incident was not more serious than it was as
the hut contained gas bottles.
Appearance
of Village
The Clerk purchased the plaques for the planters during the month and will take them to
Mr Howe for fixing.
The Gardening Club are going to plant their planters with bulbs and Mr Howe will get
some for the Parish Council planters and ask Future Scholars whether they want to plant
bulbs in their planter.
Village
Hall Heaters
We are still waiting for the engineer to
replace 2 heaters.
External
Repairs to Village Hall
The repairs are complete. Mr Pilton will install an outside tap during
the winter to make
watering the planters easier.

9. OUTSIDE REPORTS
Recreation Committee
Mr Pilton gave Mr Hollands
a copy of the new Hiring Rules and will email a copy to the
Clerk. Miss Smith will look into drawing up Hiring
Agreements for the Clubs and
Societies.
Arrangements for the Bonfire are in hand. The Clerk will contact the Insurance Company.

Councillors Report
Neither
Councillor was at the meeting.
Councillor Angell was not at the meeting, but
he emailed councillors to inform them that
after exhaustive negotiations Highways have agreed to bring forward the
resurfacing of
Footpaths
Nothing to report.
12. VILLAGE RESPONSIBILITIES
Matters Arising from the Round
Robin
There
were no Matters Arising.
Items to be reported to the County Lengthsmen
The footpath around
Lonefield is breaking up due to motorists parking their cars
on it.
13. FORUM FOR EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION BETWEEN COUNCILLORS
Mr Pilton is looking into the cost of installing a slide in the play area.
The possibility of Community Payback being asked to come and do some work in
Shadoxhurst will be discussed at the next meeting.
We have received a complaint from a resident about the mound of earth which has
been tipped into the Recreation Field hedge from a property
in
will write and ask the occupant of the property to clear it.
The District Commissioner of the Scouts has asked permission for the Scouts
to use the facilities in the Pavilion during a night hike. Councillors agreed to this request
and Mr Howe will take a key to the Scout Leader.
Mr Howe reported that he had received a complaint from a disabled resident that she
could not access the Village Hall. The Recreation Committee will look into providing
a ramp.
