Bus
Shelters
The bus shelters have been installed and the
invoices paid.
Mr Hollands reported that the removal of the
old bus shelter at Tally Ho Corner was
more complicated than expected due to it
being attached to the fence. The shelter
also
needed gravel boards along the bottom. The extra cost was for additional materials
and
labour as per his invoice.
It was unanimously agreed to add them to the Insurance. There is no extra charge for this
year but next years premium will increase by £26.20.
The Clerk will apply for a grant for half the
cost of both from KCC.
It was unanimously agreed to transfer 4275.00
from money reserved for Village Assets to the
money reserved for Bus Shelters and to pay
any money received back from KCC towards
the cost of the Bus Shelters into the Village
Asset Account.
We have received one complaint from a
resident because the shelters are not wooden.
When costing the new shelters it was found that wooden shelters would
have cost parishioners
in the region of £6000 each.
New Play
Equipment
The new Play Equipment has been installed.
The Clerk will contact Zurich Municipal and insure
it for the purchase price.
Mrs Hawkes said she would ask Mr Brady to
send the Recreation Committees donation
towards the cost to the Clerk.
