of the Ordinary Parish Council Meeting held at The Village
Hall, Shadoxhurst
on
PRESENT: Mr W Hollands (Chair), Miss M Smith, Mr R Buss,
Mr H Clark Mr B Howe and Mr A Pilton

MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC: There were no Members of the Public present.
1.
APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Apologies for Absence have been received from Mrs Hawkes who is on holiday and from.
Borough Councillors Hicks and Davison who were both attending a Planning Committee meeting at ABC.
2.
DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Mr Howe and Mr Pilton both declared an interest in matters pertaining to the
Recreation Committee.

Updating of Declarations of Interest for the
Code of Conduct
The Clerk reminded Councillors that they should update their Declarations of Interest
with the Monitoring Officer if necessary.
3.
ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
Minutes 295 of the previous meeting were accepted and it was unanimously agreed that

MATTERS ARISING
The figure for the budget was reported AS
£11150 in the December Minutes. This was
a typing error. It should read £11510.
5.
CHAIRMANS REPORT
Mr Hollands reported that
the remaining planter has been removed from The Green.

The brochures were added to the round robin
and this issue will be discussed again next
month.

Equipment
Mr Pilton is in the process of meeting with
representatives from various manufacturers and
will report back at a future meeting.
Draining
the Recreation Field
Mr Hollands will contact Mr Wenham again and
ask him to try and locate the drains as
previously discussed. It was
agreed not proceed with grant funding for 3 months.

Risk
Assessment/Risk Inspection
The Clerk handed Mr Hollands the Risk Inspection forms to be completed.
Mr Hollands will contact Mr Wenham and ask him to clear the bonfire. Meanwhile it was agreed to keep the area taped off.

7. PUBLIC
INTERVAL
There were no Members of the Public present at the meeting.
8. PLANNING
No applications received this month.
9. AFFORDABLE RURAL HOUSING/DEVELOPMENT IN
SHADOXHURST
Nothing to report.
10. OUTSIDE REPORTS
Recreation Committee
The heaters in the Village Hall have been cleaned and are now working well.
Tree Warden
We have been informed by ABC that Tree Preservation Order No 10, 2007, The Barn,
Green Farm,
The Poplar Tree has been removed from the Village Hall car park and we
are waiting for
the
area to be made good with tarmac.

Hollands reported that he had planted an Alder on The Green to replace the Oak
which
died.

Neither
Councillor Hicks or Councillor Davison were able to attend the meeting.
Councillor Angell was unable to attend the meeting.

12. FORUM FOR EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION BETWEEN COUNCILLORS
Mr Buss reported that he was still trying to obtain estimates for welding the Village Pump.
The Clerk was asked to contact ABC and ask about the possibility of grant funding.
Landscape Services have still not strimmed the field.
